Diana

The following images were captured through the eyes of James’s journey spanning over twenty-five years, as he traveled the country and the world for commercial shoots. Texas, St, Barths, New Mexico, Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Paris are just a few of the captivating locations captured through his lens.

What sets these images apart is not just the places they depict but also the medium used to capture them. Shot entirely on 120 Kodak Tri-X film, each image was framed through the lens of a plastic toy camera known as a Diana. James's interest in photography was sparked by the works of legendary street photographers like Walker Evans, Robert Frank, Gary Winograd, and Diane Arbus, whose influence shaped his artistic direction.

These images serve as a visual diary of James's travels, reflecting his passion for traditional black-and-white analog photography.
